Bangchak Highlights AI and Sustainability at 14th Greenovative Forum
Discussing AI’s transformative role in sustainable energy, societal growth, and environmental solutions.
Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited and The Standard hosted the 14th Greenovative Forum at True Digital Park West, celebrating Bangchak’s 40th anniversary. Over 600 attendees, including experts from Thailand and abroad, explored how artificial intelligence (AI) can drive sustainable energy, societal progress, and environmental solutions.
The event opened with remarks by Prasong Poontaneat, Acting Chairperson of Bangchak’s Board of Directors. Group CEO and President Chaiwat Kovavisarach presented “AI, Energy, and Environment,” emphasizing AI’s ability to boost efficiency and address challenges like its high energy consumption. Chaiwat also introduced DNA Data Storage, a groundbreaking solution to reduce energy use and environmental harm from traditional data centers.
The Fireside Chat, led by Ken Nakarin Wonkijpaiboon of The Standard, explored “Living Sustainably with AI.” Chayanid Kovavisarach, Senior Consultant for Net Zero at ERM in the UK, shared insights on AI’s potential to reduce social inequality, tackle environmental challenges, and advance human development, stressing the need for effective governance.
Carlos Aggio from Accenture Singapore delivered a session titled “Tomorrow’s Innovations Today,” detailing AI’s role in advancing sustainable energy technologies.
Two panel discussions followed. The first, “Smart Solutions for Everyday Wellness,” featured Professor Suchatvee Suwansawat from CMKL University and Gorn Wannapairote, a medical student and PROXIE Boy Group member, discussing AI’s impact on healthcare and public health.
The second, “Forward-Looking Organisations: Efficiency Meets Intelligence,” included industry leaders such as Oranuch Lerdsuwankij of Techsauce Media and Virot Chiraphadhanakul of Skooldio, who explored how AI transforms business processes and enhances workforce productivity.
The event concluded with a presentation by Dr. Pat Pataranutaporn from MIT Media Lab, highlighting the potential for AI and humans to work together in building future generations.
