MUIC and Marriott Team Up to Advance Hospitality Training

MUIC and Marriott

New agreement enables internships, research collaborations, and professional development in the tourism industry.

Mahidol University International College (MUIC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Marriott International on December 20, 2024, to strengthen ties between academia and the hospitality industry. The partnership will provide internships for Travel and Service Business Entrepreneurship (BM-TSB) students and opportunities for collaborative research and special projects.

The signing ceremony, held at The St. Regis Bangkok on Ratchadamri Road, was attended by Prof. Chulathida Chomchai, M.D., MUIC Dean, and Khun Priya Panjikar, Area Director of Human Resources for Thailand, Cambodia, and Myanmar at Marriott International. The agreement includes 46 Marriott-affiliated hotels across destinations such as Bangkok, Phuket, Samui, and Krabi.

This collaboration offers hands-on training for MUIC students and supports academic research initiatives for faculty members in the Tourism and Hospitality Management (THM) Division.
