Charoen Pokphand Foods PCL (CP Foods) is ramping up its efforts to combat biodiversity loss and climate change through extensive tree planting, ecosystem restoration, and sustainable Agri-Tech innovations in 17 countries. Guided by its “Kitchen of the World with Sustainovation” philosophy, the company integrates cutting-edge solutions to ensure a sustainable future.
Over seven million trees have been planted across 1,120 hectares, creating carbon sinks and enriching biodiversity. In Thailand, projects like the Rak-Nives Pasak Watershed and Khao Phraya Doen Thong Project in Lopburi Province have rejuvenated 7,000 rai (1,120 hectares) of forest, with 1.3 million trees planted. Coastal areas have benefitted from the Grow-Share-Protect Mangroves Project, which has added over 1.2 million trees through collaborations with local communities and government agencies.
Across Asia, CP Foods is undertaking bold initiatives. Vietnam’s Green Path Project (2021–2025) targets 1.5 million trees, while reforestation efforts in the Philippines focus on restoring national parks to support wildlife. In Cambodia, CP Foods aims to plant one million trees by 2050, with 260,000 trees already in place. In India, tree planting at company facilities aids reforestation and environmental recovery.
In 2023, the company launched the Green Sea We Share Project to inspire youth in Thailand to prioritize environmental conservation. This initiative has reached 13,840 students in 87 schools across 22 provinces, fostering a sense of responsibility for preserving natural resources.
By expanding green spaces, rehabilitating ecosystems, and driving innovative solutions, CP Foods aligns its sustainability efforts with global goals, ensuring a healthier planet while securing food resources for future generations.
