Thailand Partners with Huawei Cloud Stack to Drive Digital Transformation in ASEAN.

Thailand advances its “Cloud-First” policy with Huawei Cloud Stack technology, streamlining government services and accelerating digital transformation to strengthen its position as ASEAN’s digital leader.

With this partnership, Thailand aims to boost its digital economy, align with national security protocols, and enhance service delivery efficiency. By offering comprehensive cloud solutions, Huawei Cloud Stack supports Thailand’s goal of creating a digital hub within ASEAN, ensuring greater agility for government departments and cost savings of up to 50%.

Colonel Sanpachai Huvanandana, CEO of National Telecom (NT), stated, “Thailand’s Cloud-First policy sets us on track to become ASEAN’s digital hub. Choosing Huawei Cloud as our key partner enables us to streamline digital services across over 220 government agencies, reducing investment costs significantly and elevating service quality for citizens. Wongkot Vijacksungsithi, Senior Executive Vice President of NT, explained that NT oversees the Government Data Centre and Cloud Services (GDCC) project. Through Huawei Cloud Stack, NT has built a multi-cloud environment tailored for government operations, with features such as centralized management, rapid scalability, redundancy, and enhanced compliance with national security standards.

Initiatives like the smart bus terminal, one-stop service for the Eastern Economic Corridor, and advanced healthcare platforms highlight NT’s commitment to integrating innovative solutions for enhanced service delivery.

Additionally, Yuttasart Nitipaichit, Vice President of NT, noted, “The GDCC offers an integrated cloud and data-sharing platform for various government departments, supporting thousands of applications.
