Royal Thai Air Force and MEA Join Forces to Aid Flood Victims in Chiang Mai Province

The Royal Thai Air Force has joined forces with the Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA) to provide cleaning equipment and assist the public affected by the recent floods in Chiang Mai province.

On Thursday, October 10, 2024, Air Chief Marshal Chainat Phonkij, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Air Force, representing the Air Force Commander-in-Chief, presided over the handover of 10 high-pressure water cleaners from Mr. Wilat Chaloeysat, Governor of the Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA).

These devices will be used to clean and remove mud, debris, and water stains, helping to restore the homes of residents impacted by the recent floods. Senior military officers and MEA executives attended the ceremony, which took place at the Boriphat Reception Room, Royal Thai Air Force Headquarters.

On this occasion, the Deputy Commander-in-Chief presented certificates of honor and the honorary Royal Thai Air Force Civil Affairs and Public Relations proficiency badge to Mr. Wilat Chaloeysat and MEA executives in recognition of their support for the Royal Thai Air Force’s efforts in helping flood-affected citizens.

The Royal Thai Air Force remains committed to utilizing its capabilities, including personnel, aircraft, and equipment, in collaboration with public and private sector networks, to alleviate the hardships of flood victims promptly and effectively.
