The Office of Policy and Strategy (OPDC) organized a training event focused on innovative techniques for enhancing personnel skills in monitoring and evaluation. The “DNA Extraction Project” aimed to elevate capabilities within the context of the 4.0 government system. Held from September 25 to 27, 2024, at the Beyond Suite Hotel in Bangkok, the training was led by Mr. Pichet Phothiphakdi, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education. Around 50 participants from the monitoring team attended.

During the event, Mr. Pichet emphasized the importance of adapting to rapid technological advancements in today’s work environment. He stressed that both leaders and staff need to shift their approach to align with the constantly evolving landscape. He used the metaphor of a “Lampang horse,” cautioning against the habit of following a straight path without considering changes around them.

The program also introduced the application of systems theory, focusing on analyzing the environment, productivity, and gathering feedback to improve performance. This method would assist in further developing and refining work processes based on data-driven insights.
