Central Pattana’s Countdown

Central Pattana’s Countdown 2025 event brought together over 1.5 million people across Thailand, with more than 300,000 attendees at CentralWorld in Bangkok. The event was hosted simultaneously at 17 locations nationwide, marking a significant achievement for Central Pattana in delivering Thailand’s biggest New Year celebration.

For six consecutive years, Central Pattana’s countdown has been broadcast internationally via CNN and featured in Times Square, New York, putting Thailand in the global spotlight. This year, the event was a showcase of Thai talent, with over 500 Thai artists performing on stage. The production quality, from the lighting to the sound design, was created entirely by local talent, reinforcing Thailand’s creative capabilities.

The celebrations spanned cities like Chiang Mai, Phuket, Khon Kaen, and Hat Yai, connecting the country through live performances and fireworks. The event generated significant buzz online, reaching over 50 million views across social media platform.

The countdown also helped drive economic growth, attracting both local and international visitors. It’s estimated that Chinese tourists made up the largest group of attendees, reflecting the increase in foreign tourism to Thailand. The event played a key role in supporting the nation’s tourism goals, aligned with government initiatives to attract 40 million international visitors in 2025.

Central Pattana’s efforts demonstrate how New Year’s celebrations can be a major driver of both tourism and economic success, showcasing Thai culture to the world.
