Gundam’s 45th Anniversary Celebration Comes to Siam Paragon Exhibition

Explore “BANDAI SPIRIT HOBBY EXHIBITIONS 2024” at Siam Paragon with exclusive displays, hands-on activities, and rare collectibles until Nov 17, 2024.

The highly anticipated “BANDAI SPIRIT HOBBY EXHIBITIONS 2024” is here, bringing excitement for Gundam and Gunpla enthusiasts. Dream Toy Co., Ltd., the exclusive distributor of Bandai collectibles in Thailand, is teaming up with Siam Paragon and Siam Center to celebrate Gundam’s 45th anniversary. From now until November 17, Parc Paragon at Siam Paragon is hosting this fan-focused event with the theme “Fun to Build.” The exhibition includes the “GUNPLA Builders World Cup in Thailand (GBWC) 2024,” happening from November 13–17 at Siam Center’s Atrium 1.

Key figures attended the event’s opening, including Dream Toy Co., Ltd. Managing Director Thanapol Kitlerdpairoj, Bandai Namco Asia executives Masato Sato and Shusuke Yonemoto, Siam Paragon’s Sopida Kitikomolsuk, and Ekkawit Chaiwaranurak from Siam Center. Gunpla enthusiast and celebrity Thatchai ‘Phu’ Limpanyakul was also present, sharing his collection passion. The highlight of the event is a towering three-meter RX-78 GUNDAM model, specially displayed for the first time in Southeast Asia.

Visitors can enjoy building activities and explore the extensive Gunpla model collection for 2024, including limited-edition kits only available at this event. An interactive caravan allows participants to build models like GUNDAM, PIKACHU, or PLANOSORUS, which they can take home. Fans can also view exclusive mobile suit displays from the Gundam series, along with other unreleased model kits.

To celebrate the 45th anniversary, visitors can buy commemorative collectibles and join a hands-on Paint Class at The Gundam Base Thailand in Siam Center. Participants in the GUNDAM caravan qualify for an exclusive workshop with expert trainers, receiving special marker pens. This session is limited to 300 attendees. ONESIAM members get first access to three limited-edition items available exclusively at the event, with each member eligible to purchase up to 10 items; this offer is capped for the first 30 members.

The GUNPLA Builders World Cup in Thailand (GBWC) 2024 runs from November 13–17 at Siam Center’s Atrium 1. This qualifier for the GBWC 2024 championship in Tokyo showcases modeler creativity from across Thailand, with competitors from over 17 countries participating in national rounds to compete globally.
