From Sight to Insight: A Journey of Artistic Transformation
The “Sight into Insight” exhibition, now open at RCB Galleria 4, River City Bangkok, presents a profound exploration of how external vision transforms into internal perception.
The exhibition features three notable artists—Therdkiat Wangwatcharakul, Niam Mawornkanong, and Nannanin Rueangyoungmee—whose personal experiences and unique styles reflect the emotional depth of what they see, transforming it into art that captures the unseen.
Therdkiat Wangwatcharakul’s abstract art, inspired by his connection with nature, explores vibrant colors and profound techniques. Through the lens of health and nature, his work embodies an emotional record of positive life experiences.
Niam Mawornkanong, on the other hand, delves into the distortion of paintings through photography. This initial frustration evolved into a series of experimental works, where light, color, and memories converge, capturing moments of suspended communication and reflecting the deeper layers of life in the digital age.
For Nannanin Rueangyoungmee, art became a path to self-acceptance during her extended stays in the hospital. Her intricate doodle art provides an escape, reflecting life as seen through the windows of her hospital room and expressing the emotions she experienced throughout her journey.
Together, these artists invite viewers to transcend visual limitations, offering insights into human perception and sensory experiences. The exhibition offers an immersive experience that begins with sight and deepens into emotional and intellectual understanding, through the lens of personal and artistic discovery.
“Sight into Insight” is open to the public until 23 October 2024, at RCB Galleria 4, on the 2nd floor of River City Bangkok.
