Vietnam Airlines Recognised as Five-Star Major Airline for 2025

Award Highlights Outstanding Passenger Experience and Service Quality

Vietnam Airlines has earned the “2025 APEX Five Star Major Airline” title from the Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX). APEX is one of the world’s largest international airline associations and evaluates airlines based on passenger feedback.

The APEX Five Star Awards rely on independent passenger reviews audited by an external agency. For 2025, over 600 airlines were assessed across categories like seat comfort, in-flight service, entertainment, food, beverages, and Wi-Fi. Nearly one million flights were reviewed.

Dang Anh Tuan, Vietnam Airlines’ executive vice president, expressed pride in receiving the award. He emphasized the airline’s efforts to enhance comfort and convenience for passengers. The airline continues to improve its services and products to ensure high-quality travel experiences.

Vietnam Airlines operates a modern fleet, including Boeing 787 Dreamliners, Airbus A350s, and Airbus A321neos. The airline plans to upgrade airport facilities, adopt sustainable fuel, and expand partnerships with other carriers to boost its global network.

The airline also highlights Vietnam’s culture through in-flight meals inspired by local cuisine, videos, and publications.

Vietnam Airlines has received several prestigious awards, including “Asia’s Leading Airline – Economy Class,” “Asia’s Leading Cultural Airline,” and “Asia’s Leading Inflight Magazine 2023” from the World Travel Awards. The airline was also listed among the top 20 global airlines in 2023.

Vietnam Airlines currently operates six daily flights between Vietnam and Thailand, serving routes between Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, and Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport. Plans are underway to add a fourth daily flight from Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, as well as a direct flight between Da Nang and Thailand.
